About Prism Therapy
Prism Therapy is a relationship-centered psychotherapy practice serving adults throughout California. We provide affirming, culturally responsive care with particular attention to the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of color, and those navigating issues related to identity, relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.

Position Overview
Prism Therapy is seeking an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences who is interested in building a private practice caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment.
We are particularly interested in therapists whose clinical work is informed by psychodynamic, interpersonal, relational, attachment-based, and/or humanistic approaches. While therapists may integrate various treatment modalities, we value clinicians who view the therapeutic relationship as a central vehicle for healing and growth.
We are seeking thoughtful and engaged clinicians who value depth-oriented therapy, believe in the healing power of authentic connection, and are committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations
Develop accurate diagnoses and individualized treatment plans based on client needs, strengths, and presenting concerns
Provide ongoing individual and couples psychotherapy services via telehealth to adults in an outpatient setting
Monitor client progress and update treatment goals and interventions as clinically indicated
Maintain thoughtful case conceptualization and utilize evidence-informed clinical interventions
Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients
Complete clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required records accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with BBS regulations and applicable laws
Participate in supervision and consultation as required for licensure
Collaborate professionally with practice leadership and administrative staff
Maintain a minimum commitment of 10 client hours per week

Qualifications
Current ASW or AMFT registration in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution
Eligibility to provide psychotherapy services in California under supervision for licensure
Strong interpersonal, written, and organizational skills
Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient, community mental health, or private practice settings preferred
